フェニックス・コヨーテス：民事再生手続。本拠移転も。

2009/5/09, 9:53am 投稿区分：A. 軽い話, A1. スポーツ, A1d. ホッケー/NHLNHLのフェニックス・コヨーテスは、先週、連邦裁判所に破産法11条（民事再生に相当）手続きの申請を行いました。異議申し立てがあり、リーグも申請に関する疑義を持っているようで、19日から審理が始まるとのことです。1995年にカナダに本拠地のあったウィニペグ・ジェッツが資金的にショートになり、ミネソタに移転も検討されたようですが、問題がありフェニックスへ。チーム名も変更されました。1997年にはBurke卿の単独オーナーシップになり、デベロッパーのEllmanと組んだのですが、この頃から不動産開発がらみのニュースが多くなります。Ellmanは当初隣接のスコッツデールの廃屋になっていたショッピングモールの再開発とアリーナ建設を絡めたプランを出していましたが資金問題で進まず。その間もチームは負債を出し続けていました。2001年 Ellmanと Moyes, およびウェイン・グレツキーのグループに$1.25億でチームは売却。三井住友も$4千万程度の融資をしたという記憶があります。Ellmanは最終的にGlendale市に West Gateというショッピングモールをあわせたアリーナ建設プランを出し、市とも調印。2003年に完成します。しかしながら2006年、EllmanとMoyesの関係が悪化し、West Gateを Ellman が、ホッケーチームを Moyesがという形で権利を分離、 Ellmanはチームから離れます。この時点で Moyesは $6500万の負債を抱えていたと言います。そのとき計画より2年遅れて West Gateはオープン。ところが市と約束した2期、3期工事は遅れ、契約上Ellmanは市に$100万を支払うことになります。更に Moyesは年間$2000万の赤字を出すチームに、ついに総投資額が$3億を超え、救済を求めます。さらに2008-09シーズンには支払いが遅れ始め、実際には2009年2月にはチームはNHLの管理下に置かれることに。その事実が公表されたのは4月末でした。現時点でこのチームを買う意志があることを公言しているのは Blackberryで有名な Research In Motion(RIM)のBalsillieさん。破産法11条のファイリングにも参加していて、その場合、$2億1250万でチームを買収すると提案しており、破産法11条の適用が決定し、6/26までに$2億1750万以上でのオファーがない場合、彼にチームは売却されることになります。彼はチームをカナダの南オンタリオに移転（ハミルトン？）させる方向性だと言われており、事実である場合、2009-10シーズンを最後にチームがフェニックスを離れる可能性が高くなるようです。まずは審理待ちになりますが、こういう経緯がオープンになって、ファンにも理解しやすいアメリカのスポーツビジネス環境は過酷ともいえますが、合理的だと思います。なによりも責任が明確ですから。でも、思い入れがあるチームのこういう事象は寂しくもあります。フェニックス…一見成長している都市なのですが、集まりが悪く、方向性がばらばら。所得もそれほど高くない…いい街なんですけどね。娯楽ビジネスには難しい土地なのかも知れません。

むかしセガ・メガドライブで発売されて、ズッポリとアメリカンプロスポーツの世界を堪能させてくれた、エレクトリックアーツのＮＨＬのゲームを今時の技術で再現した様なゲーム。
大学時代ホッケー部の自分に言わせると十分ホッケーとしての面白さは、伝わってくる。当然☆５といいたいのだけれども、３６０ユーザーのゴールドメンバーならば、本家ＥＡ版のＮＨＬ２ｋ９の体験デモ版を試して欲しい、どちらが上かは好みにも... すべて読む

アジア版を買いました。
アイスホッケーには前々から興味(キムタクのドラマを見て)がありましたので、迷いましたが購入しました。
結論から申し上げますと、このゲームとても爽快です！！
リプレイもカッコいいし観客一人一人の動き、試合の演出もすばらしいです。
さすが２Kのゲームだなと感心せずにはいられません。
ルールは分からないのですが、感覚でいうとサッカーやバスケットボールのような緻密な試合運びに... すべて読む
